Migration

Migrating an existing facility to sedisto sounds complex. In practice, it goes faster and more smoothly than most operators expect.

How a Migration Works

Step 1: Assessment (1–3 days)

We analyse your existing hardware landscape and create a migration plan. We need floor plans, the current device list, and access to the existing system.

Step 2: Parallel Installation (1–5 days)

sedisto controllers are installed alongside the existing hardware — without touching existing permissions. Operations continue as before.

Step 3: Phased Activation

Tenants are gradually transitioned to sedisto. We recommend an activation rate of 20–30 units per day. With 100 units, you’ll be done in four to five days.

Step 4: Decommissioning the Legacy System

Only when all tenants are active in sedisto is the old system shut down. This typically happens after 2–4 weeks.
